Ingredients
  

  • 24 rolls Martin’s Sweet Party Rolls sliced in half
  • 4 large Eggs
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • ¼ cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
  • Powdered Sugar for dusting

Cannoli Filling

  • 4 ounces Mascarpone Cheese
  • ¾ cup Whole Milk Ricotta Cheese
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, ricotta cheese, sugar, salt and vanilla.
  • In a second bowl, add all the ingredients for the cannoli filling. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  • Cut Martin’s Sweet Party Potato Rolls lengthwise. Spread cannoli mixture over the bottom layer Place the top half of the sweet party rolls layer on top of the mixture. Cut all 24 rolls apart. Arrange randomly in a greased baking dish.
  • Pour custard over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight, 10-12 hours, to allow the custard to soak into the bread.
  • Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
  • Remove cover from the baking dish. Top with mini chocolate chips. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

This dish is best served warm and can be enjoyed as a breakfast or dessert.
