Ingredients
  

For the slow cook

  • 500 g Diced beef
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 6 tablespoon Soy sauce Low sodium
  • 4 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 4 tablespoon Honey
  • 4 tablespoon Tomato ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon Chinese five spice
  • ½ teaspoon Dried chilli flakes Optional

To finish

  • 3 tablespoon Cornflour See notes
  • 1 Broccoli head Chopped into bite sized florets

Cooking Instructions

  • Add the slow cook ingredients to the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker to HIGH for 4-5 hours, or LOW for 6-7 hours.
  • Half an hour before the end of the cooking time, make a cornflour paste slurry and add back to the sauce. Add broccoli at this stage too.

Notes

Frozen veg can be used for onion, garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Marinating beef overnight enhances flavor. Serve with rice or noodles for best results. Broccoli may lose color after cooking, consider steaming for better appearance.
