Ingredients
  

Butter and Seasoning

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Granulated sugar for sprinkling

Corn Mixture

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (15 oz) cream style corn undrained
  • 1 can (15 oz) corn drained
  • 2 units eggs beaten
  • 1 package (8 oz) cornbread mix

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and add butter to a 2 quart baking dish. Place in oven until the butter has melted, then swirl to coat the sides. Remove from oven and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the sour cream, creamed corn, corn, eggs, and butter. Add cornbread mix and salt and pepper and stir to combine. Pour into to hot baking dish, then sprinkle lightly with sugar.
  • Bake until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 45-50 minutes.
