Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 slices bread thick slices
  • 3 cups grated cheese Cheddar, Mozzarella, Gruyere

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter then add the crushed garlic and dried oregano. Set aside.
  • Grate the cheese and mix to combine. Slice the bread into thick slices.
  • Distribute the cheese between half of the slices of bread then sandwich with the remaining pieces of bread.
  • Brush the outside of the bread liberally with the garlic butter.
  • In a large pan, skillet or griddle set over medium heat, cook the sandwiches butter side down. Cover the pan with a lid to allow the cheese to melt faster. Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on one side.
  • Brush the other side with the remaining garlic butter then gently flip over and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown on both sides with the cheese completely melted inside.
  • Remove from the pan, allow to rest for 1 minute then slice and serve.
