Equipment

  • grater
  • bowl

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 1 whole cucumber approximately 250g
  • 120-150 g Greek yogurt 1 small pot
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 large clove garlic pressed, or 2 small ones
  • 1 pinch fleur de sel
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill or fresh if available
  • 10 leaves fresh mint chopped, or 1 teaspoon of dried mint

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Start by grating the cucumber (large grater), then squeeze it between your hands to remove as much liquid as possible.
  • I recommend collecting the liquid to drink, for example in a smoothie!
  • Once you have squeezed the cucumber as much as possible, place it in a small bowl with all the other ingredients. Mix well.
  • Let the tzatziki rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
  • And there you have it, it's done!

Notes

This recipe is a family favorite and perfect for serving with grilled meats or as a dip for vegetables.
